Sarah Spiers is an award-winning game producer from Boston, MA, working at Maxis Studios (Electronic Arts) to develop processes for future projects. Her passions lie in supporting growing studios and organizing international communities for diverse independent developers.

Previously at Filament Games, Sarah worked with Scholastic, PBS, iCivics, and other education leaders to create games for students across kindergarten to twelfth grade. Her guidance as a producer connected Filament with millions of players, which was rewarded with the Serious Games Award in 2019, among other accolades.

In the commercial games space, Sarah lent her talents to several innovative titles. At PUBG, Sarah served as Senior Producer managing the ongoing feature development for PUBG Battlegrounds on PC and Console. At Earplay, she served as a producer on Voice Assistant games with Amazon and several Fortune 500 companies. With The Deep End Games, she worked on the award-winning indie horror game Perception, which was praised for its innovative use of narrative and VR.

Additionally, Sarah serves as a Board Member and Director of Global Development of the IGDA Foundation.

Leadership With The IGDA Foundation

 

Driven by a desire to promote marginalized voices in games, Sarah volunteers with the IGDA Foundation as its Lead Program Producer. In this role, she oversees the execution of the foundation’s diversity, equity, and inclusion scholarship programs and has provided mentorship and networking opportunities to over 100 up-and-coming developers worldwide.
